Which service applies depends on your situation. For renewals, it is when your last UK passport was issued. If you are unsure, answer a few quick questions first and we will confirm before you pay.

Eligible adult renewals are 2 weeks or less, guaranteed. Eligible replacements, child renewals and name changes are 3 weeks or less, guaranteed. Full refund if we miss an eligible guarantee.
First adult, first child and very old or unclear histories are around 4 weeks on a best-endeavours basis and are not guaranteed, because HM Passport Office may request further evidence on a first-time application.
